Role Overview
Newronika is seeking a Senior Clinical Field Engineer to support the clinical adoption and operational development of its innovative adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation (aDBS) platform across the United States.
This is a highly visible, field-based role that sits at the intersection of clinical practice, technology, and physician engagement. The successful candidate will work directly with neurosurgeons, neurologists, movement disorder specialists, nurses, and hospital teams to support the safe and effective use of Newronika’s adaptive DBS technology in patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.
As one of the company’s key clinical representatives in the field, you will provide procedural support, clinical education, technical expertise, and ongoing partnership to leading neurological and neurosurgical centers. You will also serve as a critical link between customers and internal teams, helping translate real-world clinical experience into valuable insights that support product development, clinical strategy, and future innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Procedural Support
- Provide expert support during DBS implantation procedures and post-implant clinical activities.
- Support physicians and clinical teams in the use of Newronika’s DBS and adaptive DBS systems, including programming workflows and therapy optimization in accordance with company procedures.
- Deliver clinical and technical assistance during complex patient cases and challenging procedural situations.
- Troubleshoot device-related technical and clinical issues in collaboration with internal support teams.
- Ensure a high standard of clinical support while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and company requirements.
Clinical Education & Customer Partnership
- Train physicians, nurses, technicians, and hospital personnel on device use, programming workflows, and clinical best practices.
- Support onboarding and development of new clinical centers adopting Newronika technology.
- Build trusted relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), movement disorder specialists, neurosurgeons, and strategic healthcare institutions.
- Act as a clinical and technical resource for healthcare professionals throughout the customer journey.
- Support workshops, physician education programs, clinical demonstrations, and other professional training initiatives.
Clinical Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Document field activities, clinical observations, complaints, product feedback, and escalation reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Partner closely with Clinical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Product teams to provide structured feedback from the field.
- Support clinical studies, evidence-generation activities, and post-market clinical initiatives as needed.
- Contribute to the successful launch, adoption, and expansion of innovative neuromodulation technologies across the U.S. market.
- Provide clinical and technical expertise in support of market development activities, while maintaining a non-promotional and patient-focused approach.
Required Profile
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Neuroscience, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related technical or healthcare discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical devices, clinical support, or specialized healthcare environments involving complex technologies.
- Experience in roles such as Clinical Field Engineer, Field Clinical Specialist, Clinical Specialist, Clinical Educator, Field Technical Support, Advanced Clinical Support, or similar positions.
- Experience supporting complex medical devices, ideally implantable technologies or products used in procedural and surgical settings.
- Strong intraoperative, procedural, or clinical support experience.
- Ability to independently manage complex technical and clinical situations in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Understanding of hospital workflows, operating room procedures, and multidisciplinary clinical team dynamics.
- Strong technical aptitude, including device troubleshooting, configuration, and issue escalation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States (approximately 60–70%).
- Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) systems.
- Experience in neuromodulation, neurostimulation, movement disorders, or implantable neurological technologies.
- Knowledge of Parkinson’s disease and related neurological conditions.
- Clinical background in neurology, neurosurgery, movement disorders, operating room support, or advanced nursing practice.
- Experience supporting device programming, clinical trials, physician training, or early adoption of innovative medical technologies.
- Existing relationships with neurological, neurosurgical, or movement disorder centers within the United States.
- Experience supporting the launch or commercialization of novel medical technologies.
